Patience

There is no question that I intended a new focus as the conclusion of my year-long weekly blog was published last Tuesday. Before I settled into “I’m taking a break”, surprise layered upon wondrous surprise, as if on cue — so much so that I can hardly wait to see what’s next.
Here, the “MiniBlogs” began. First, they were primarily visual — for me, a welcome change of pace from writing.
Walk Confidently
May 28, 2013
A quote from Henry David Thoreau inspired this MiniBlog. The complete quotation, from Walden, is:
“.…if one advances confidently in the direction of his [her] dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he [she] has imagined, he [she] will meet with a success unexpected in common hours…"
There are individual dreams. There is also a broadly-scoped dream of an awakening into Harmony, Balance and Peace on Earth.

It was a progression over several days, a turning point. Last week, after commenting on my weekly blog — ongoing for one year — a friend then added, "You're very hard on yourself." That hadn't occurred to me; however, I must admit I've heard those words before. I considered my recent non-stop focus. "Recent" became two and a half years — from November of 2010 into May of this year.
Golden Pebbles: Celebrating the New Earth was completed and published. The first "Songs" CD, to correspond with Golden Pebbles, was produced. I created my Golden Pebbles and Green Oasis websites to coordinate with my original Facing the Sun (Tritia) website. The Golden Pebbles podcast was produced for fifty weeks. When the podcast episodes were completed, I created this current website to combine elements of my three earlier websites. When this current website was introduced in May 2012, I began my weekly blog.
My friend was right. It does appear that I've been "hard on myself". In fact, most of what I do is fun — consistently so. Several days after my friend's comment, in the serene quiet of an early morning, I surprised myself. I decided on a new version of fun. It was crystal clear.
Hours later, several friends asked about my current project. "I have a new focus," I replied.
“And what's that?"
“I'm on vacation. I'm focused on my personal life.
"Good."
Looking at me quite directly, one of them said, "And do you have a time-frame for this?"
“You mean a specific length of time for this?"
He nodded, "Yes."
“No."
“Good." Once again, he nodded.
If I needed "permission" to take "time off" — which I didn't — I surely received it.
And thus, my new "work" is "play".
Perhaps I'll see you in the sunshine. I’m tending my garden, metaphorically speaking.
Tending My Garden
June 04, 2013
Sometimes the world feels new. As within, so without.
My garden is a metaphor, and tending it is a playful dance — a dance of energy intended to beckon to whomever chooses to participate.
The eloquent voices of my flowers speak silently, whispering magical things.
Another World
June 09, 2013
"“Just as the Sun in your outer world pours light onto Earth to sustain Earth cycles, so too does the power of the Sun within you express as golden power."

Birdsong and the Breeze
June 18, 2013
The oak leaves above me shimmer in the afternoon sun.
Birdsong and the breeze are the music I hear.
Earth speaks eloquently.
It has been well documented that, over recent decades, many birds have increased the vibrational frequency of their calls in order to hear one another above the noise humans have created.
As with the birds, attention to refining details is necessary if one chooses to hear the birdsong and the breeze — and all delightful, subtle sounds — above the unharmonious and persistent noise which all too frequently pervades the environment.
Earth speaks eloquently.
Expression
July 27, 2013
To me, flourishing flowers and trees seem to be smiling at the Sun as they express their potentIal in the Sun's light.
Rooted in Earth, and harmonizing with the energy that is — the warmth of the Sun — they beautifully exemplify connection with both Earth and Sun
Like flowers and trees smiling at the Sun, we too are part of Mother Nature's garden. We too are feeling the energy that is — whether consciously or not.
This is what is happening on Earth right now: greater Light, greater possibilities for fullness of expression.
It is an energy dance. And we, in human form, can choose to maximize this opportunity to express ever more fully who we truly are.
“This is what is happening on Earth right now:
greater Light, greater possibilities
for fullness of expression.”
Balance
July 29, 2013
When drumming and singing outdoors in the early morning, my favorite moments have been those times when the sun and the moon have been visible at apparent equal height in the sky — the sun rising higher following sunrise, and the moon lowering toward the horizon line prior to moonset. In my latitude this occurs, visibly, for a total of about 5 hours in a lunar month.
The sun and moon visible in this way is, to me, a metaphor for the balance between masculine and feminine energy.
The opportunity to savor the moments of sun and moon balance in the sky begins after sunrise on the morning of the day after the full moon and lasts for about one hour. During each of the following two mornings, the balance is visible for about two hours. This sky dance between the sun and the moon is fleeting.
Implicit in this metaphor is the demonstration that balance is indeed rare. Humanity can do better. Much better. It’s time.
Moments in Time
August 05, 2013
How many moments are there from sunrise to sunrise?
And how many of those moments do we remember over "time"?
What catches our attention, in an expansive way?
Which moments do we experience as transcendent, transcending the apparent confines of the "stuff" of ordinary reality?
Which moments are like the dawn — where we are bathed in new warmth, new light?
Which moments touch us with delight?
Which moments speak to us most eloquently?
Which moments energize us as they echo, delivering their vitality into the present moment?
From sunrise to sunrise, which moments fill our inner garden with new blossoming?
Everything is Energy
August 12, 2013
Cutting edge science affirms what sages have known for millennia, remnants of long forgotten wisdom: everything is energy.
We ourselves are energy expressing thoughts and feelings that slowly manifest into beingness.
As with electricity, what lights up our circuits is what creates a vibrant current throughout our bodies.
Thoughts are electric; feelings are magnetic.
If we pay attention to our feelings about what lights us up, as differentiated from what dulls us (diminishes our energy and our light, creating dis-ease) — and make our choices accordingly — we hold the key to our own fullness of expression and well being.
